SOPAC Swim Club

Day 3: 2020 NSW Senior State Age Championships. Another cracking day in the pool for Team SOPAC; well done everyone on a day of sensational heats swimming! The finals tonight saw SOPAC pride in action and paying off!

Tonight we saw:

• Skye Arnold in her first final of the meet in the Girls 12 - 13 years 200m Backstroke; well done!
• James Gauchi; gold - boys 13-14 years 100m Freestyle and gold - boys 13 - 14 years 200 Fly - what great swims!
• Matthew Cheng swam a cracking PB in boys 13-14 years 100m freestyle
• Jordan Aimes swam a great 100m Backstroke to drop time from her heats swim.
• Samson Barisic was up again in the Boys 15 years 50 free with another PB
• Harry Stubbs had a sensational day with massive swims in the mens 400m IM and an unbelievable PB in 200m Breaststroke to grab 4th
• Anna Lee; gold - girls 16 years 400m IM, nothing short of amazing! and Clare Xu Louie with a gutsy night swim PB
• Grace Michel and Georgia Platts; Girls 17 years 400m IM; great swims!
• Matthew Wilson; gold Mens 18&over 200 breaststroke dominated the field like the true champion he is
• Nathan Zhu; bronze put in an unbelievable fight for bronze in the Mens 18 & over 200 breaststroke
• Angus Bolton; Silver in the comeback swim of the meet in the men’s 17 years and over 400m IM!
• Matthew Galea; gold men’s 18 & over 800m Freestyle in a classy swim
• Alex Weeks; silver 17 year old 800m freestyle in a hard fought swim
• Both boys and girls 13 - 14 years 4 x 50m medley relays where stellar with the boys achieving bronze.

Well done swimmers and coaches! We are still at 2nd on the team point score at the end of day 3; Go Team SOPAC!
