This meet is now FULL. As such we have since closed the entry on SwimCentral.

We will still be receiving manual entries to fill out the heats (i.e. only for heats with available spots, no new heat will be created). Please fill out the entry form below. There will be no guarantee and on first come first serve basis. You will be notified if we decided to enter you, requested to make payment via bank transfer and send through the payment evidence. Only then you will be officially entered to this meet

FRI 29.01 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:  



There has been an error in event listing in Swim Central:
  • EVENT 13 is supposed to be Boys 200m Breaststroke (QT 3:30.00)
  • EVENT 14 is supposed to be Girls 200m Breaststroke (QT 3:30.00)

For those intending to enter 200m Freestyle, please enter event 79 or 80 (Boys or Girls, respectively).For those intending to enter 200m Breaststroke, we have created a form for manual entry - CLICK HERE

We will be contacting all swimmers who have entered into these events to validate and confirm entries after the registration is closed.

For those who have entered into event 13 / 14, please do nothing for now - we will send you an email for you to confirm your intended event after registration has been closed.

Condition of Entry

 

  1. Meet is approved by Swimming NSW and Swimming Metro North West
  2. Conducted under the rules of SNSW. One start rule applies. All events are timed finals.
  3. The Meet Director reserves the right to vary the program
  4. Entries are online via the SwimCentral
  5. ENTRIES CLOSE Friday 19th February 2020 or when an entry limit of 900 swimmers is reached.
  6. Entry fees $9.00 per individual event. Late entries $12 per event.  One spectator per family; spectators will need to purchase a ticket - no ticket, no entry.
  7. Adult Spectator Entry $5.00, competitors and coaches FREE
  8. Please check your entries carefully as NO REFUND POLICY APPLIES
  9. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in all 15 years/Over, Open and Multi Class events
  10. All results will be forwarded to Swimming NSW and Swimming Metro North West
  11. Age as of 7th March 2021
  12. Visiting clubs may be asked to assist in timekeeping
  13. Once entries are closed; entry requests may be considered to fill existing heats only; further announcement will be made to include instruction on this. Please email racesecretarysopacswimclub@gmail.com for any inquiry. Any additional entries must have payments finalised via EFT by 5pm Wednesday 24 February 2021 otherwise entries will be withdrawn.
  14. Medals will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (excluding the Open and Multi Class events), in the following age groups: 8/Under, 9, 10, 11, 12 years, combined 13/14 years
  15. Cash prizes will be presented for 1, 2, 3 place in all 15yrs/O,Open and Multiclass events
  16. All results will be forwarded to Swimming NSW and Swimming Metro North West
  17. NOTE events 45, 46, 81 & 82 will each consist of one heat only based on fastest qualifying times. When those events close, we will announce it on this page.

Q: Why can't I see this event in my SwimCentral calendar?

A: There are two ways to do this:

  1. Use the "Locate an Event" function in SwimCentral
     

    Step 1. From the main navigation menu, click "Locate an Event"
    Step 2. Search for "Sydney Olympic Park", 5km radius and event within 60 days
    Step 3. Find and click on the pin to identify Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Center
    Step 4. Choose "SOPAC 2021 LC Qualifying Meet" from the list

     
  2. For you (or anyone from your club) to see this event in the calendar, your club's Race Secretary must have "associated" this event with your club. Please assist by raising this to your club's Race Secretary. Here's a documentation from Swimming NSW on how your club Race Secretary can do so in SwimCentral - CLICK HERE.

     

 

Q: Why can't I enter some of the events e.g. Butterfly 200m?

A: There are some incorrect setup with some events. To remediate this, we have created a web form to handle manual entry - CLICK HERE.

Spectator Tickets

Due to current Covid Rules 1 spectator is allowed per family. Unfortunately if you do not have a ticket you will not be able to enter.

Please print your ticket or show the ticket from your phone upon entry. You will also be required to scan the NSW Health QR Code when you arrive at the centre.
 

Event Guidelines

Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be several important changes to how this meet will be run. Please read the important guidelines below.
 

Entry and Exit

 

  • There will be one entry and exit point for all event attendees, including Competitors, Officials, Coaches, Support Staff and Spectators. Please refer to map below.
  • Due to the venue configuration, spectators will not have access to the competition areas or the Competitors Grandstand, so if spectators wish to meet up with the competitors during the event, they will need to meet in the Spectator Grandstand or outside the venue.
  • All parts of SOPAC that are not being used for our event will be not accessible to our event attendees.

 

 
 

Spectator Ticketing

 

  • Spectator Tickets must be pre-purchased for every session and cannot be purchased at the door
  • Both electronic & paper tickets are accepted
  • For those yet to purchase a ticket, please ensure you do so prior to the event. Seats will be allocated via ticketbooth and cannot be changed.
  • There will be staff in both Grandstands to oversee competitors and monitor social distancing
  • We ask that you arrive no earlier than 1.5 hours before your first event and leave the venue as soon as your events have been completed to assist in managing numbers at the venue.
  • Ensure athletes have all belongings (food, water, swimmers, googles etc) with them when they enter
